The heavens opened and much needed rain poured down on the village of Wollombi last Sunday. The weather forecast claimed that the sun would shine at 11am, just in time for our Lebanese paddock-to-plate cooking adventure. For once the prediction came to fruition and the sun was belting down as I drove up the Moore Wollombi Garlic farms driveway. The garlic queen herself was waiting to greet me along with 4 other fellow Dolmade hopefuls...

WOLLOMBI SMALL FARMS FAIR

It's my favourite weekend of the year again folks and by the look of the program I can rest assured I won't be disappointed!

Wollombi Small Farms Fair begins on Saturday morning and will be jam packed with activities for young, old and the in-between! There will be fair stalls, farmers market, Farm Machinery Display, Classic Cars Display, Live Music, Landcare Planting & Regeneration Day, Museum Open Day – with historic exhibits, convict trials and conviction demonstrations, The Mower Mardi Gras, Andy & Rachel Switch-A-Roo Circus Workshop, Hunter Valley Zoo Animal Encounter, Lantern Making Workshops in preparation for Saturday evening’s Lantern Parade and so much more...Oh my goodness the list is long!

We're more than a little bit fond of Harry Hookey round these parts and delighted to have him returning to the new stage at GNTP. In 2013 Harry spent several months touring and busking overseas and generally living the life of a travelling musician. 2014 has seen him back home and on the Foggy Mountain Jam bandwagon, as this wonderful show toured regional centres around Australia. In addition Harry has released a new album to critical acclaim supported by an Australia wide tour. We are very much looking forward to welcoming Harry and his band back to our little corner of the world.
